Montague County has a critical shortage of licensed foster homes; only 7 homes housing mostly preschoolers that need foster care. Some are in shelters and others placed in homes up to 150 miles from here. These children need your help to keep them closer to home.

The Board meets on the third Monday of the month at 6:00 pm at the old jail building in Montague. The public is invited to attend.

Mission Statement

The Montague County Child Welfare Board supports and maintains a cooperative effort with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services, to provide for the total needs of Montague County children and families. We are responsible to the Montague County Commissioner's Court and community, to interpret and convey the financial needs of the organization, as well as its' programs and policies.
